Coming to Netflix Instant Streaming September 2017

A tentative list of movie and TV titles that are coming to Netflix Instant Streaming for September 2017.  Will update when I get the official list of titles (It appears to be on Wednesday):

Aakhri Adaalat (1988):  Intrepid police inspector forced into a desk job takes matters into his own hands when ruthless criminals are released on a technicality; with Vinod Khanna.

Ali (2001):  Muhammad Ali deals with a tumultuous decade in his career and personal life in this biopic; with Will Smith and Jamie Foxx.

Amores Perros (2000):  Three different stories of people from various social classes that deal with love, loss, and dogs collide with a horrific car crash; with Gael Garcia Bernal.

The B-Side: Elsa Dorfman's Portrait Photography (2017):  Director Errol Morris explores the life and career of Dorfman, a Polaroid photographer known for photos of celebs and ordinary people. GONE as of September 5

Barefoot in the Park (1967):  Pair of newlyweds struggle to adept to each other while living in a small Greenwich Village apartment; with Robert Redford and Jane Fonda.

Beserk: The Golden Age Arc 2-The Battle for Doldrey (2012):  Guts learns that in order to earn Griffith's respect and friendship, he'll have to leave the Band of the Hawk; with Hiroaki Iwanaga.

Beserk: The Golden Age Arc 3-The Advent (2013):  A year later after movie 2, Guts rejoins the Band of the Hawk to vanquish the God Hand and save Griffith; with Hiroaki Iwanaga.

Chadi Jawani Budhe Nu (1976):  Egotistical businessman kicks off his midlife crisis at 40 by searching for a mistress; with Anand.

The Chase (1966):  Bubber escapes from prison and learns that it's not just the police that want him...so does an oil tycoon; with Marlon Brando and Robert Redford.

City of God (2002):  Rocket uses a passion for photography to help escape the drugs and crime plaguing his Rio de Janeiro slum; directed by Fernando Meirelles.

Dead Poets Society (1989):  An unconventional teacher inspires students to love poetry, but his methods draw criticism from school officials; with Robin Williams.

Deconstructing Dani Garcia (2015):  Documentary focuses on Garcia's efforts to create a restaurant, concept, and menu when he's let go of his previous place.

Deep Blue Sea (1999):  Scientists look for a cure for Alzheimers using genetically modified sharks, only to regret it when they break out; with Samuel L. Jackson and Saffron Burrows.

The Distinguished Citizen (2016):  Wealthy expat novelist fearing he's lost his touch returns home where he's considered a local hero; with Oscar Martinez.

The Drowning (2017):  Years after a child psychologist's testimony puts away a child for murder, they meet again raising disturbing questions; with Josh Charles.

Ek Jaan Hain Hum (1983):  Young man is accused of arson while trying to win over his fiancee's parents and finds insanity might be his only defense; with Rajiv Kapoor.

The Electric Horseman (1979):  Alcoholic former rodeo champ steals a valuable, but mistreated horse while doing an ad stunt for cereal company; with Robert Redford and Jane Fonda.

Fracture (2007):  Ambitious assistant district attorney clashes with wealthy man accused of murdering his wife; with Ryan Gosling and Anthony Hopkins.

Gangs of New York (2002):  In mid 1800s New York, a young man hunts down the person responsible for murdering his father; with Leonardo Di Caprio and Daniel Day Lewis.

Gbomo Gbomo Express (2015):  Incompetent kidnappers hold a record executive and a socialite for ransom and see their scheme spin out of control; with Ramsey Nouah.

Gone Baby Gone (2007):  The family of a disappeared 4 year old hires two private detectives when the police turn out to be little help to find her; with Casey Affleck and Michelle Monaghan.

Greenberg (2010):  Roger house-sits for his sibling at a crucial period of his life and unexpectedly bonds with his brother's assistant; with Ben Stiller and Greta Gerwig.

The Guardian Brothers (2016):  Two guardians from the spirit world leave retirement to protect a Chinese family's soup shop from ruthless competitors; with voice of Edward Norton.

Hercules (1997):  Hercules tries mightily to regain his immortality when his powers are stripped from him and he's sent to Earth; with voices of Tate Donovan and Danny De Vito.

Hitch (2005):  A date doctor helps his clients make an excellent first impression with their dates, but he needs one himself when he falls for a sexy reporter; with Will Smith and Eva Mendes.

Hoodwinked (2005):  Cops looking for the thief of candy recipes have their hands full with a little girl, her grandmother, a woodsman, and a wolf; with voices of Anne Hathaway and Glenn Close.

Hotel for Dogs (2009):  Moved to a foster home that doesn't allow pets, a teen girl and her younger brother find an abandoned hotel to house their displaced pooch; with Emma Roberts.

Incorruptible (2015):  Documentary examines a youth movement that rises up on the Senegal streets against a regime determined to maintain their power.

InuYasha the Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass (2002):  Emerging new enemy shatters the temporary peace felt by InuYasha and his friends; with Kappei Yamaguchi.

InuYasha the Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler (2002):  After giving two Swords of the Fang to his sons, The Great Dog Demon is disturbed by the evil power of the awakened third sword; with Kappei Yamaguchi.

InuYasha the Movie 4: Fire on the Mystic Island (2004):  Young half-demon Ai returns to Horai Island with three potential saviors to help his people; with Kappei Yamaguchi.

InuYasha the Movie: Affections Touching Across Time (2001):  The fate of the world is in jeopardy when the son of a powerful demon awakens; with Kappei Yamaguchi.

Invasion 1897 (2014):  Determined to acquire valuable rubber trees, British colonial forces move to West Africa's Benin Empire to depose their ruler; with Mike Omoregbee.

Jaws (1975):  After the mayor refuses to close his town following a shark attack, the town sheriff and two strangers agree to go out to sea to sink the beast; with Roy Scheider.

Jaws 2 (1978):  Several years after the first shark is destroyed, several missing divers and a boating accident has the town sheriff thinking the worst; with Roy Scheider.

Jaws 3 (1983):  A baby great white shark finds its way into a sea park and becomes an exhibit, until his angry mother comes to find him; with Bess Armstrong and Dennis Quaid.

Jaws: The Revenge (1987):  Ellen Brody moves to the Caribbean to find peace following another shark attack, but a great white won't let her rest; with Lorraine Gary and Michael Caine.

Khoon Khoon (1973):  Hardened cop is determined to take down a crazed killer terrorizing his city by any means necessary; with Danny Denzongpa.

The Last Shaman (2016):  Clinically depressed young man travels to the Amazon to participate in an ancient hallucinatory ritual in a last ditch effort to prevent killing himself in this documentary.

Little Evil (2017):  Recently married man slowly learns as he's bonding with his stepson that his new relative might be a demon; with Adam Scott and Evangeline Lilly.

Lorai: Play to Live (2015):  Retired soccer player who is an alcoholic is sent to establish a soccer team in a politically troubled area; with Prasenjit Chatterjee.

The Lost Brother (2017):  While settling the affairs of murdered family members, a man partners with a local thug in a life insurance scam; with Leonardo Sbaraglia.

Lunch Time Heroes (2015):  Devoted young woman assigned to teach a class of unruly high schoolers finds common ground and acceptance with them; with Diana Yekinni.

Mammal (2016):  Emotionally distant woman learns her estranged son is missing at the same time she befriends a homeless youth, inviting him to live with her; with Rachel Griffiths.

Manoranjan (1974):  After losing his job, a cop befriends a prostitute he met on the job in a red light district and sets out to get her out of the streets; with Sanjeev Kumar.

Margot at the Wedding (2007):  A judgmental writer takes an instant dislike to her sister's fiance and threatens to ruin the wedding with her sniping; with Nicole Kidman.

Mujrim (1989):  Despite the pleas of his wife and the rejection of his mother, Shankar hasn't been able to stay on the right side of the law; with Mithun Chakraborty.

Mulan (1998):  To take the place of her ailing father, a tomboy disguises herself as a man so she can fight with the Chinese Army; with voices of Eddie Murphy and Ming-Na Wen.

Naruto Shippuden: Blood Prison (2011):  Mistakenly accused of an attack, Naruto is imprisoned in an impenetrable castle and his powers are sealed; with Junko Takeuchi.

Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Will of Fire (2009):  The leader of the sole remaining ninja community tries to learn who did it and protect his land; with Junko Takeuchi.

Naruto the Movie 2: Legend of the Stone of Gelel (2005):  Naruto and his ninja friends are attacked by brutal knights while trying to return a missing pet; with Junko Takeuchi.

Naruto the Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom (2006):  Exuberant ninja and his friends team up to escort a prince and his son to the Crescent Moon Kingdom; with Junko Takeuchi.

Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow (2004):  Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura plan to protect an actress from being hurt in her next film, but she's hiding a secret; with Maile Flanagan.

Offline - Das Leben ist kein Bonuslevel (2016):  Competitive gamer finds his life uprooted when a bitter rival hacks his identity just before a major tourney; with Moritz Jahn.

Pulp Fiction (1994):  Stylized crime caper weaves two hitmen, a washed up boxer, their boss, and two nervous robbers; with Samuel L. Jackson.

Requiem for a Dream (2000):  Woman who takes diet pills for a TV program finds her experiences mirroring that of her son, his girlfriend, and his friend; with Ellen Burstyn.

Resurface (2017):  Suicidal war veteran finds like minded souls in a surf therapy program that allows traumatized soldiers to heal while riding waves in this documentary.

Rocco (2016):  Italian porn star Rocco Siffredi is the focus of this documentary that explores his last year in front of cameras before retirement.

The Rugrats Movie (1998):  Tommy and his friends go on a quest to return his baby brother to the hospital; with Elizabeth Daily.

The Secret Garden (1993):  Strong willed English teen girl discovers a secret garden while residing in her distant uncle's estate; with Kate Maberly.

Shaq and Cedric the Entertainer Present: All Star Comedy Jam (2009):  Cedric and Shaq both host this collection of comics presenting their material; with Kevin Hart.

Shaquille O'Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam Live from Atlanta (2013):  Faizon Love hosts this collection of comics performing in Atlanta; with Finesse Mitchell.

Shaquille O'Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam Live from Dallas (2010):  Mo'Nique hosts this collection of up and coming comics performing their material in Dallas; with Paul Mooney.

Shaquille O'Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam Live from Orlando (2012):  Gary Owen hosts this collection of rising comics offering their material in Orlando; with Jay Pharoah.

Shaquille O'Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam Live from South Beach (2009):  DL Hughley hosts this stand up with up and coming comics from Miami; with Lavell Crawford.

She's Gotta Have It (1986):  Free spirited woman can't decide which one of three suitors she's interested in.  Basis for upcoming Netflix series; with Tracy Camilla Johns.

Shooter (2007):  Expert marksman is coaxed out of retirement to prevent an assassination of the president only to be framed for the crime.  Basis for the series; with Mark Wahlberg.

Sohni Mahiwal (1984):  Young man who was violently separated from the woman he loves takes up various disguises to keep the relationship going; with Zeenat Aman.

The Squid and the Whale (2005):  This drama explores the crumbling marriage between a self-centered novelist whose star is fading and his up and coming writer wife; with Jeff Daniels.

Teesri Aankh (2006):  Dedicated cop follows the trail of a sleazy swindler using hidden video cameras to exploit women; with Sunny Deol.

Todo Sobre El Asado (2016):  Documentary offers a quirky examination of Argentinian culture, customs, and cuisine by focusing on their traditional barbecue.

The Village (2004):  Young man treks outside a sequestered small town to seek help and sets off a series of stunning events that shakes things up; with Bryce Dallas Howard and Joaquin Phoenix.

We Are Not Alone (aka No Estamos Solos) (2016):  A family seeks the help of an exorcist to deal with a dark presence in their new home outside of Lima, Peru; with Marco Zunino.

When Love Happens (2014):  An unlucky in love event planner decides to go online to see if she can turn around her luck and find Mr. Right; with Weruche Opia.

Who the F is That Guy (2017):  The life and career of record executive Michael Alago, a gay Puerto Rican, who signed numerous musical acts including Metallica is the focus of this documentary.


September 2:


Bitcoin Heist (2016):  Unconventional but efficient Interpol agent goes rogue and assembles a team of thieves to catch a shadowy hacker; with Kate Nhung.

I Am Not Madame Bovary (2016):  Married couple stages divorce in order to qualify for a nice singles apartment, but Li seeks justice when her husband unexpectedly remarries; with Fan Bingbing.

Vincent n Roxxy (2016):   Terse loner in rural Louisiana forms redemptive bond with woman he saved from a killer, but his violent past catches up with them; with Emile Hirsch and Zoe Kravitz.

September 4:


Bright Star (2009):  The passionate romance between poet John Keats and his great love and muse is dramatized in this film; with Abbie Cornish and Ben Whishaw.

Chloe (2009):  Catherine suspects her husband of infidelity so she hires sexy Chloe to test his faithfulness; with Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson.

Easy Virtue (2008):  American widow impulsively marries wealthy young Englishman but is surprised to find his family isn't so receptive of her; with Jessica Biel and Ben Barnes.

Graduation (2016):  Morally conflicted father struggles for the right thing to do for his college bound daughter when she's attacked before a crucial exam; with Adrien Titieni.

September 5:


Carrie Pilby (2016):  Socially awkward 19 year old genius makes big plans to leave her apartment, make friends, get a job, and find love; with Bel Powley and Gabriel Byrne.

A Dark Song (2016):  While grieving for her dead son, a woman contacts an occult expert to lead her through a psychologically grueling ritual to contact her child's spirit; with Catherine Walker.


Facing Darkness (2017):  Christian organization steps up to help west Africans deal with the Ebola crisis.  Then one of their doctors tests positive for it in this documentary.

Like Crazy (2016):  Two mental patients with different personalities ditch their Tuscan hospital and explore the real world which proves unpredictable; with Micaela Ramazzotti.

Marc Maron: Too Real (2017):  The stand up comedian explores meditation, mortality, and documentary films in this comedy special.

Newsies: The Broadway Musical (2017):  It's high times and hard times for turn of the 20th century newspaper boys who decide to strike against their bosses; with Jeremy Jordan.

September 6:


A Good American (2015):  Fascinating documentary about an NSA cryptologist whose innovative surveillance program was scuttled weeks before 9/11 happened.

Hard Tide (2015):  Fact based thriller about a drug dealer who has been emulating his father's successes before being forced on the run with a young girl; with Nathanael Wiseman.

Patchwork (2015):  When three women learn they were dismembered and sewn together to form the perfect woman, they seek vengeance against their captor; with Tory Stopler and Tracey Fairaway.

September 7:


Cezanne et Moi (2016):  Historical drama that explores the long, volatile friendship between painter Paul Cezanne and writer Emile Zola; with Guillaume Canet.

The Duplex (2015):  Cash strapped man and his wife purchase a beautiful new home in a bargain price only to learn they're not alone; with Ikechukwu Onyeka.

Kicking and Screaming (1995):  Four college graduates take their first steps into adulthood in this ensemble comedy; with Josh Hamilton and Olivia D'Abo.

Mike Epps: Underrated and Never Faded (2009):  The comic and actor (Next Friday/All About the Benjamins) unleashes his uncensored observations about life in the modern age in this special.

Out of Luck (2015):  Lottery operator tries to pay off local gangster by taking him on thrill ride from the slums to the mansions of Nigeria; with Tope Tedela.

#RealityHigh (2017):  Nerdy high schooler finally draws the attention of her longtime crush, but his social media ex won't take it sitting down; with Kate Walsh and Nesta Marlee Cooper.

Fabrizio Copano: Solo Pienso en Mi (2017):  Italian comedian uses audience participation to the next level in this special that covers sperm banks, family WhatsApp groups and more.

Joaquin Reyes: Una y No Mas (2017):  Comedian/master of impersonations Reyes chooses to be himself dealing with buses, bathroom habits, and royalty in his special.

Krish Trish and Baltiboy I (2009):  Team of minstrels consisting of a cat, a monkey, and a donkey tell folktales from various Indian regions; with Damandeep Singh Baggan.

Krish Trish and Baltiboy Part 2 (2010):  Animal minstrels share tales of a monkey's friendship with a crocodile, foolish monkeys, and a villager's meeting with a demon; with Damandeep Singh Baggan.

Krish Trish and Baltiboy: Battle of Wits (2013):  In three stories of deception and justice, an artisan, a lion, and a brother all end up on the short end of the stick; with Damandeep Singh Baggan.

Mighty Raju Rio Calling (2014):  Mighty Raju prepares for a new adventure in Rio involving rival soccer players, capoiera fighters and more; with Anirban Majumder.

Nocturama (2016):  After planting bombs in Paris, a group of disillusioned kids spend a tense night hiding in a high-end department store; with Finnegan Oldfield.

Dead Awake (2016):  A social worker opens the door to an evil, supernatural entity while investigating her twin sister's death who passed in her sleep; with Jocelin Donahue and Jesse Bradford.

Last Men in Aleppo (2017):  Group of rescue volunteer workers in Aleppo known as the White Helmets witness the Syrian civil war in this excellent documentary.

September 11:


The Forgotten (2014):  Teen moves to abandoned public housing to live with his father and decides with his new friend to investigate strange noises heard; with Clem Tibber.


September 12:

Heroin(e) (2017):  Documentary short showcases three women (a judge, a fire chief, and a street missionary) as they fight the opioid epidemic in West Virginia.

Jeff Dunham: Relative Disaster (2017):  In this comedy special from Ireland, Dunham skewers family and politics along with his various puppets.

September 13:


Ghost of the Mountains (2017):  International group of filmmakers set out on mission to get up and close with a family of snow leopards located in China in this documentary.

Pocohantas (1995):  Young Native American woman tries to follow her heart and protect her tribe when settlers arrive.  Feel the colors of the wind; with voices of Irene Bedard and Mel Gibson.

30 Days in Atlanta (2014):  Akpos and his cousin win a free vacation and travel to Atlanta where they run into adventure, romance, and trouble; with Ayo Makun.

Aroni Takhon (2017):  Romance between a Hindu man and a Muslim woman struggles to overcome simmering tensions between their communities; with Paoli Dam.

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007):  Brothers Hank and Andy plan the perfect crime but their robbery of their parents' jewelry store goes horribly wrong; with Ethan Hawke and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Bordertown (2006):  Newspaper reporter investigates a series of murders in the border town of Juarez, Mexico and uncovers a startling cover up by local authorities; with Jennifer Lopez and Martin Sheen.

Couple of Days (2016):  Three couples in various relationship stages head for a fun weekend in Ibadan, but secrets spill out leading to trouble in paradise.  Sounds like Why Did I Get Married; with Lilian Esoro.

The Department (2015):  Her corporate employer lures a former industrial saboteur for one final job, but when her husband disapproves, action may be required; with Majid Michel.

Falling (2015):  Muna's love for her husband is tested when her spouse ends up in a deep coma due to an accident and a new man enters her life; with Adesua Etomi.

First They Killed My Father (2017):  Five year old girl undergoes harrowing battle for survival in the brutal reign of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia; with Sreymoch Sareum.

Foo Fighters: Back and Forth (2011):  The history of the band comes alive in this documentary that spans from demo tapes to their 2011 album Wasting Light (These Days).

Foresti Party (2012):  French comic Florence Foresti offers a supersized comedy special featuring sketches, impersonations, dance routines, and special guests.

George Harrison: Living in the Material World (2011):  Interviews and archival footage are used in director Martin Scorsese's profile of the former Beatle turned solo artist.

Half Nelson (2006):  Unlikely friendship develops between a drug addicted educator and a streetwise kid; with Ryan Gosling and Shareeka Epps.

Head Gone (2014):  Several psych patients escape their guards while transferring to a new hospital and have a series of wacky adventures together; with Basorge Tariah.

Janaan (2016):  Young Meena returns from a stint in Canada back home to Pakistan for a family wedding and starts to fall for an adopted cousin; with Armeena Rana Khan.

Larceny (2017):  Ex-CIA contractor turned thief is forced to head a CIA operation to infiltrate a black ops Mexican prison and make off with $50 million in drug cartel money; with Dolph Lundgren.

Mum, Dad, Meet Sam (2014):  It's Guess Who's Coming to Dinner when the successful only son of a Nigerian family brings home his white English girlfriend to Lagos; with Joseph Benjamin.

Mummy Dearest (2014):  Following the death of a colleague's mother, a man who had been avoiding his own intrusive mother comes home for a life changing visit.

Rumble (2016):  Former MMA champ reduced to fixing fights in Mexico must win one final match to save his girlfriend who's been kidnapped by the mob; with Gary Daniels.

A Soldier's Story (2015):  After a battle between peacekeepers and rebels, an injured soldier is slowly brought back to life by a scavenger; with Tope Tedela.

Strong Island (2017):  Powerful documentary examines the murder of Yance Ford's brother and the controversial events following the crime.

Taxi Driver (2015):  The death of his father causes a young mechanic to move to the city to drive his dad's taxi leading to crazy adventures; with Odunlade Adekola.

The Visit (2015):  The lives of an uptight, conservative family are rattled when a loudmouthed, hard partying new couple move in next door; with Nse Ikpe-Etim.

When Love Comes Around (2014):  A woman who's been dating men only for their money becomes distressed when she starts to fall in love for real; with Mikki Osei Berko.

Beauty and the Beast (2017):  In exchange for her sick inventor father, a smart young girl agrees to be prisoner to a beastly prince.  Then the unexpected happens; with Emma Watson and Dan Stevens.

Jerry Before Seinfeld (2017):  In this hybrid that's one part comedy special and one part documentary, Jerry Seinfeld returns to the club that made him famous to test out a new routine.

Love, Sweat and Tears (2016):  Ob-Gyn Dr. Pamela Dee Gaudry discusses how menopause can affect sexual health and how intimacy can be reestablished in this documentary; with Joan Rivers.

Nise: The Heart of Madness (2016):  A psychiatrist rejects electroshock therapy opting for a more artistic approach in dealing with schizophrenics; with Gloria Pires.

Slack Bay (2016):  Surreal French comedy focuses on an unusual bond between two families as a series of disappearances plague a small town; with Fabrice Luchini.

Carol (2015):  In 1950s New York, a forbidden relationship begins between a rich married woman and a female department store clerk; with Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara.

The Bad Batch (2016):  Young woman banished to a wasteland of undesirables struggles to survive in a drug soaked desert society and a group of cannibals; with Suki Waterhouse and Jason Momoa.

Gaga: Five Foot Two (2017):  Documentary covers a momentous year for Lady Gaga as she works on a new album and her Super Bowl halftime show while dealing with physical and emotional issues.

Gagarin: First in Space (2013):  Biopic of Yuri Gagarin from childhood poverty to being named Russian cosmonaut for the 1961 Vostok mission; with Yaroslav Zhalnin.

Hate Story 2 (2014):  The mistress of a prominent politician vows revenge when he has her new lover killed; with Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali.

Murder Maps Season 3 (2017):  More shocking, surprising murder cases in Britain's past as the police work and forensics are examined that solved them.

The Royal House of Windsor Season 1 (2017):  This documentary series examines how the royal family survived power struggles, politics, and more.
