  22. Thanks for the shout-out on Terrorism Close Calls but I am afraid that is not one of mine.

A couple of random thoughts: So far on your list, I count at least 35 Netflix originals and four movies/TV shows that are not. An interesting ratio. Without knowing more, it looks like a mixed bag.

Also, has Netflix decided to forego its monthly press release regarding what’s coming and leaving in October? Amazon and Hulu both had announcements around the 15th. Are the people at Netflix too busy working on content to spend the time on a list?

    1. Will fix.

I knew the mix of originals to paid content would eventually turn in favor. But no, that's just due to knowing a lot more about the original shows. I suspect that ratio will change when we get the list.

Yeah, it's kind of odd not getting this list until now. Usually, it means they're hiding something kind of bad. But I suspect we'll get one by Friday. I mean, we'll have to.

    2. Wow! The list is out today, and it contains 55 Netflix originals. The non-original movies, except for the two Monty Python titles, seem wholly predictable. Why do I have the feeling that these movies circulate around HBO, STARZ, Amazon Prime, Hulu and Netflix? Most of the original movies I have never heard of which I hope is not indicative of their quality. There also appear to be a lot of (probably one-off) documentary series, some of which look good and some of which look meh. As usual, consistency is not Netflix’s strength.

Here’s hoping that we see Monty Python’s Flying Circus and the first two seasons of Designated Survivor before the year is out.

  23. Also, much to my chagrin, I don’t see Batman Ninja on the Netflix list of coming titles. Maybe I was a victim of fake news. Sadly, I see that the Adam Sandler stand-up comedy special IS coming. I hope Netflix is not thinking of giving him a starring role in an upcoming Shonda Rhimes series.

    1. It does exist as a 2018 movie. Not sure if it will show up when it was listed though.

We all know that Shonda will not play with Adam Sandler. Remember Katherine Heigl? Exactly.
