Coming to Netflix Streaming June 2018

A tentative list of film and TV titles that are coming to Netflix Instant Streaming sometime during the month of June.  Will update as we learn more titles and when we get the official list on Wednesday!

Carpool (1996):  He needed a getaway car, but a bungling bank robber gets more than he suspected when he carjacks a minivan; with Tom Arnold and David Paymer.

The Covenant (2006):  The reign of four boys as leaders of an exclusive prep academy is threatened by a newcomer who knows their secret; with Steven Strait.

George Balachine's The Nutcracker (1993):  The perennial Christmas ballet classic is performed on screen with the aid of New York ballet performers; with Kevin Kline and Macaulay Culkin.

He Named Me Malala (2015):  Documentary reveals the story of a Pakistani girl whose advocacy for women's education has won her many fans...and some enemies.

Just Friends (2005):  Ten years after graduating, a once fat guy who had a crush on his friend has slimmed down and decides to give it another shot; with Ryan Reynolds and Amy Smart.

Miracle (2004):  US hockey coach Herb Brooks tries to turn a ragtag crew of college athletes into a finely honed team in time for the 1980 Olympics in this docudrama; with Kurt Russell.

National Treasure (2004):  In order to keep treasure away from an unscrupulous rival, a historian decides to steal a map hidden in the Declaration of Independence; with Nicolas Cage.

Natsamrat - Asa Nat Hone Nahi (2016):  Veteran Shakespeare actor steps off the stage and into old age, but things go less than gracefully for him; with Nana Patekar.

The New Age (1994):  Married yuppie couple try to find themselves by starting a trendy clothing store in Los Angeles and seeking advice from self-help gurus; with Peter Weller and Judy Davis.

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (2008):  Freshly dumped teen bonds with a lively girl who in a wild night while searching for a secret concert; with Michael Cera and Kat Dennings.

Outside In (2018):  Man released from prison for a crime he didn't commit develops a complex bond with the woman who advocated for his early release; with Jay Duplass and Edie Falco.

Pedal the World (2015):  Documentary showcases the efforts of cyclist Felix Starck to travel 18,000 kilometers on his bike across 22 countries.

The Prince and Me 4: The Royal Adventure (2009):  Edvard and Paige try to help a Princess out with a love crisis and search for a missing elephant; with Chris Geere.

Righteous Kill (2008):  Two detectives investigate a series of killings linked to an old case that suggests a disturbing outcome; with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.

Rumor Has It (2005):  Sarah travels to her sister's wedding in California and learns an intriguing rumor about her own family; with Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Costner.

Singularity (2017):  A century after artificial intelligence attempted to wipe out humanity on Earth, two survivors seek out a rumored safe haven; with John Cusack.

Taking Lives (2004):  A FBI profiler is recruited to help cops search for a serial killer who takes the identity of his victims; with Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke.

Terms and Conditions May Apply (2013):  Timely documentary focuses on the erosion of privacy in the digital age through interviews with tech leaders and futurists.

That Night (1992):  Lonely teen helps her spirited sister sneak off to see a bad boy, but is unprepared for the repercussions that follow; with Juliette Lewis and Helen Shaver.

Would You Rather (2013):  A young woman agrees to participate in a sadistic millionaire's lethal game in order to win funds for her sick brother; with Brittany Snow.

The King's Speech (2010):  Newly appointed King George VI seeks help for a stammering problem with a speech therapist with unusual methods; with Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush.

June 4:

The Star (2017):  Donkey with big dreams escapes his life of labor and befriends several free spirited animals in this loose retelling of the Nativity Story; with voice of Steven Yuen.

June 5:

Thor: Ragnarok (2017):  The mighty Thor has to battle his way back to Asgard and save his home from a bloodthirsty goddess of death; with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston.

June 7:

Jihad: A Story of the Others (2015):  Deeyah Khan speaks to Muslims who embraced radical extremism only to change their minds later on.

White Right: Meeting the Enemy (2017):  Deeyah Khan explores whether it is possible to overcome the hate and rhetoric in order to connect with white supremacists.\

June 8:

Alex Strangelove (2018):  Alex plans to lose his virginity to his lovely girlfriend Claire, but plans hit a snag when equally lovable Elliot shows up; with Daniel Doheny.

Ali's Wedding (2018):  The son of an Iraqi born cleric in Melbourne has to choose between family duty and his heart when a white lie spins out of control; with Osamah Sami.

Franco Escamilla: Por La Anecdota (2018):  The Mexican comic discusses new experiences and his life in this special.

June 12:

My Daddy is in Heaven (2017):  Mother struggles to keep her life together for the sake of her family after her husband suddenly passes; with Jenn Gotzen Chandler.

A New Capitalism (2017):  Global entrepreneurs seek alternatives to current capitalist structures by having profitable businesses also deal with social inequality in this documentary.

June 14:

Cutie and the Boxer (2013):  Oscar nominated documentary explores the relationship between husband and wife artists and the efforts of the female artist to seek an identity of her own.

June 15:

Barbra Streisand...and Other Musical Instruments (1973):  Streisand freshens up her catalog of music with interesting arrangements and instrumentation; with Ray Charles.

Barbra Streisand: A Happening in Central Park (1968):  Live concert special has Babs singing her signature songs for a crowd of 135,000 fans in New York City.

Barbra Streisand: The Concert (1994):  Backed by a lush orchestra, Streisand sings songs from throughout her career in this special.

Barbra Streisand: Timeless: Live in Concert (2001):  Live show from Las Vegas has Babs perform her greatest hits.

Chronicle of an Escape (2006):  A soccer goalie is kidnapped by the Argentinian military, but he becomes the leader in helping a group of prisoners escape; with Rodrigo de la Serna.

Color Me Barbra (1966):  Streisand performs in concert and in sequences at a museum in Philadelphia and at a circus in this special.

The Imaginarium of Dr. Parassus (2009):  An immortal doctor must renegotiate a deal with the devil to save his daughter and right wrongs of his past; with Heath Ledger.

Karl Metzler: Made to Be Broken (2017):  Metzler, an ultramarathoner chronicles his last attempt to complete the Appalachian Trail in record time.

La Hora Final (2017):  Two Peruvian detectives go undercover to locate and capture the elusive leader of a guerrila army; with Pietro Sibille.

Lego House: Home of the Brick (2018):  In a Denmark town, 25 million Lego bricks are used to construct a house of nearly 130,000 square feet.  Sadly, Ed Sheeran wasn't invited.

Lust Stories (2018):  Anthology film series has 4 directors tell tales of love, sex, and relationships in modern India; with Vicky Kaushal.

Maktub (2018):  Two low-level mobsters change their ways after surviving a bomb attack in Jerusalem and decide to go about making Wailing Wall prayers come true; with Guy Amir.

My Name is Barbra (1965):  Streisand's first ever special goes on location and reveals various surprises in a change from the usual shows of the time.

Pacificum: El Retorno al Oceano (2017):  This special has various scientists explore the majestic coastline of Peru through land, sea, and air.

Set It Up (2018):  Two beleaguered employees stage a romantic merger between their workaholic bosses that leads to an unexpected bonus; with Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell.

A Star is Born (1976):  The marriage between an aging rocker and a gifted songbird is shaken up as their careers take different paths; with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.

Step Up 2: The Streets (2008):  When a street dancer is kicked off her team following joining an elite prep school, she builds a team of outcasts for an underground dance battle; with Brianna Evigan.

To Each, Her Own (2018):  Simone is finally able to work up the courage to tell her conservative family that she's a lesbian, only to fall for a male chef from Senegal; with Sarah Stern.

June 25:

Expelled from Paradise (2014):  Human survivors of a global catastrophe are uploaded onto a cyber network, but someone or something is breaking into it; with voice of Rie Kugimiya.

June 26:

Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi (2017):  As the remainder of the Resistance flees Kylo Ren and the First Order, Rey seeks out Luke who wants nothing more to do with the Force; with Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley.

W. Kamau Bell: Private School Negro (2018):  The comedian dives into parenting in the Trump era, free speech, woke children's TV, and going off the grid.

June 27:

Skydancers (2014):  The powerful spirit of women pilots at the World Aerobatic Championships is displayed in this short documentary.

June 28:

Birthmarked (2018):  Is nature or nurture more important?  Two scientists test the theories using their own children.  The results might surprise them; with Toni Collette and Matthew Goode.

June 29:

Calibre (2018):  On a Scottish hunting trip, two lifelong friends find cracks in their relationship after a few unexpected turns; with Jack Lowden.

Jani Duenas: Grandes Fracasos de Ayer y Hoy (2018):  The Chilean comic/personality reflects on aging, diet, and sex in her first Netflix stand up special.

La Pena Maxima (2018):  A Mexican soccer superfan faces a difficult choice: support his team in the World Cup or help out his family; with Adrian Uribe.

Recovery Boys (2018):  This documentary showcases four young men who bond at a farming based rehab center as they attempt to rebuild their lives after years of opioid addiction.

100% Hotter Season 1 (2016):  A stylist, hair designer, and a makeup artist team up to give British fashion disasters a new lease on life in this series.

Busted Season Finale (2018):  In these final couple of episodes, a culprit begs to be escorted to a police station and a text from a man vanished months before leads to a final challenge.

Escape to the Continent Season 1 (2014):  British people looking to start life anew in Europe learn the advantages and disadvantages while going house hunting in this series.

Gabru: Hip Hop Revolution Season 1 (2018):  This docuseries examines the struggles, hopes, and dreams of three aspiring rappers from India as they work towards the big time.

The Hairy Biker's Chicken and Egg Season 1 (2016):  Two middle aged men ride around on motorcycles, try various chicken and egg dishes and drop more puns than Pecking Order.

November 13: Attack on Paris (2018):  The personal recollection of survivors and first responders shows the anguish, kindness, and bravery following the 2015 terror attack on Paris.

The Sniffer Season 3 (2017):  The death of his father leads to an unexpected mystery involving his family and a mysterious professor; with Ivan Oganesyan.

Whisker Wars Season 1 (2011):  American team captain Phil looks to create an upset at the World Championships, but his motives lead to questions and tensions in this reality series.

Hawaii Five-O Season 8 (2017):  McGarrett and Williams lead their team of Honolulu police officers to solve various cases while dealing with staff turnover; with Alex O'Laughlin and Scott Caan.

Hormones: The Final (Third) Season (2015):  With the seniors graduating, a new class joins in a Bangkok high school including an American girl and a funny guy hiding a secret.
