Coming to Netflix Streaming April 2018

A tentative list of film and TV titles that will be making their way to Netflix Instant streaming during April 2018.  This list will be updated when we get word of the official list and descriptions for these titles will be filled out before the start of the month:

Beethoven's Christmas Adventure (2011):  The oversized Saint Bernard has to save a bag of toys and return Santa's sleigh to its rightful owner before Christmas; with Kyle Massey.

Bharya Athra Pora (2013):  A father ditches his family for beaches and booze only to learn that it comes with a downside; with Jayaram and Gopika.

Bhoopadathil Illatha Oridam (2012):  Unsolved theft at a moneylender's shop changes the life of a popular school teacher at a remote village; with Nivin Pauly.

Big Time (2017):  Bjarke Ingels reveals his plans for 2 World Trade Center as he attempts to turn Manhattan's skyline back to its previous glory.

Billa (2007):  A cop attempts to take advantage of the secret death of an international criminal by sending a look-alike to infiltrate his gang, but complications ensue; with Yog Japee.

A Billion Colour Story (2016):  As his family strains under financial issues, a curious boy observes that the world is growing more intolerant; with Dhruva Padmakumar.

Body of Lies (2008):  Idealistic CIA agent, veteran operative, and the head of Jordanian intelligence teams up to infiltrate an underground terrorist network; with Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.

Boys on the Side (1995):  It's a road trip with a lesbian nightclub singer and a woman with AIDS as they travel from New York to Los Angeles; with Drew Barrymore and Whoopi Goldberg.

Deep Blue Sea (1999):  Scientists make super smart sharks in an attempt to study Alzheimer's, but are shocked, shocked to find out they are the main course; with Samuel L. Jackson.

Dil Hai Tumhaara (2002):  Sophisticated son of a powerful businessman falls for a simple, free-spirited girl.  Problem is that her other sister has fallen for him; with Rekha and Preity Zinta.

The Duchess (2008):  Young duchess compensates for an unhappy marriage by starting a scandalous affair with a politician; with Keira Knightley and Ralph Fiennes.

Ethirmarai (2018):  A detective investigating a string of brutal deaths suspects that mind control might have played a role; with Ramanathan.

Falcon Rising (2014):  Martial arts master and former Marine travels to Brazil to track down the men who brutally attacked his sister; with Michael Jai White and Neal McDonough

The Family Man (2000):  Cutthroat investment banker learns what his life would be like if he had married his college sweetheart and settled down; with Nicolas Cage.

Fishpeople (2017):  Six different people from various backgrounds find purpose and meaning in the ocean in this documentary.

The Flintstones (1994):  Fred and Barney find their friendship strained due to various matters involving their families and work; with John Goodman and Rick Moranis.

The Flintstones at Viva Rock Vegas (2000):  Fred, Barney, Wilma, and Betty take a fun trip to Vegas while they were still dating; with Mark Addy and Kristen Johnston.

Fracture (2007):  A young assistant attorney squares off with a man accused of attempting to murder his wife; with Ryan Gosling and Anthony Hopkins.

Friday Night Lights (2004):  A new coach battles sky high expectations and player dramas to lead his team to the Texas State Football Championships; with Billy Bob Thornton and Lucas Black.

Gringo: The Dangerous Life of John McAfee (2016):  The bizarre and scandalous lifestyle of McAfee, best known for anti-virus software, is the focus of this documentary.

Heat (1995):  A detective and thief square off and find themselves considering an alliance; with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.

The Invasion (2007):  Psychiatrist who researches a mysterious alien epidemic learns that her son might be Earth's only hope for survival; with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig.

The Iron Giant (1999):  In the middle of the Cold War, a young boy befriends a friendly giant robot that the government is determined to destroy; with voices of Vin Diesel and Jennifer Aniston.

Jackass 2.5 (2007):  More stunts, pranks and mischief they weren't able to fit into Jackass 2; with Johnny Knoxville.

Kill the Irishman (2011):  True crime tale focuses on Danny Greene, who squared off with the Mafia in a battle for control of Cleveland's organized crime scene in the 1970s; with Ray Stevenson.

Kya Kehna (2000):  The world of a young college student is shaken when a brief involvement with a wealthy playboy leaves her pregnant; with Preity Zinta.

LA Confidential (1997):  In 1950s Los Angeles, three cops from various backgrounds form a tentative alliance to root out police corruption; with Kevin Spacey and Russell Crowe.

Life is Beautiful (1997):  When a Jewish family is sent into a concentration camp during World War 2, the father starts a game to protect his son's innocence; with Roberto Benigni.

Locked Up (2017):  American teen who ends up in a fight at a Southeast Asian school finds herself sent to a correctional facility where abuse and humiliation await; with Kelly McCart.

Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003):  Recently fired stunt man searches for his father with the help of Daffy Duck, who recent quit working as an actor; with Brendan Fraser and Jenna Elfman.

The Lost Boys (1987):  Sam, along with two friends, tries to save his brother from a gang rumored to be a coven of vampires; with Corey Haim and Jason Patric.

Maari (2015):  Petty gangster wastes his time training pigeons and insulting people until two newcomers bring turmoil to his life; with Dhanush.

Made in America (1993):  Black teenager's efforts to find out where she came from leads to results that might surprise her; with Whoopi Goldberg and Ted Danson.

Mallu Singh (2012):  A man from Kerala looking for a childhood companion treks to Punjab where he runs into unexpected people and things; with Kunchacko Boban.

Mandobasar Galpo (2017):  Acclaimed filmmaker seeks help of a psychiatrist to deal with a mysterious romantic trauma; with Paoli Dam.

Metro (2016):  A man disgusted by jewelry thieves in Chennai vows to fight the criminal menace by taking the law in his own hands; with Yogi Babu.

Mortal Kombat (1995):  Handpicked team of noble fighters square off with the minions of an evil emperor in a fighting tourney to save the world; with Robin Shou and Christopher Lambert.

Nancy Drew (2007):  While in LA to travel with her father, Nancy investigates the murder of a movie star; with Emma Roberts.

Netflix Acquires Seth Rogen (2018):  In a sign that things have finally gone too far, the mind, body, and soul of comedian Seth Rogen has been purchased by Netflix.  Or has it?

Om Shanti Om (2007):  A reincarnated small time actor is determined to find and punish the person responsible for starting the fire that killed him the first time; with Shah Rukh Khan.

Paisa Paisa (2013):  Filmmaker races against time to find the money necessary to pay off his friend's kidnappers, but finds the situation turning complex; with Aju Varghese.

Philips and the Monkey Pen (2013):  Mischevious boy struggling with math acquires a magic pen that helps him with his homework, but only in certain conditions; with Jayasurya.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006):  Jack Sparrow desperately tries to get out of a blood debt to Davy Jones and Will and Elizabeth get involved; with Johnny Depp and Bill Nighy.

The Power of One (1992):  White South African orphan tormented by bullies befriends a political prisoner who teaches him how to box; with Stephen Dorff and Morgan Freeman.

Prince (2010):  The morning after a thief commits the heist of his life, he wakes up with no memory of what happened; with Vivek Oberoi.

Speed Racer (2008):  Gifted young auto driver enters a dangerous race after turning down a lucrative contract from a wealthy sponsor; with Emile Hirsch and Christina Ricci.

The Spy Next Door (2010):  Undercover agent ends up getting involved in top secret adventure while babysitting his fiancee's kids; with Jackie Chan and Amber Valletta.

Sunshine Cleaning (2008):  To raise money for her son's education, Rose teams up with her unreliable sister to start a business specializing in cleaning up crime scenes; with Amy Adams and Emily Blunt.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003):  The Terminator comes back to save an adult John Conner from a top of the line mechanical assassin; with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Nick Stahl.

To Noora with Love (2014):  Misfortune strikes when a pious woman falls for a Sufi singer, but an act of love and sacrifice revives the relationship; with Mamta Mohandas and Krish Sathar.

Una (2016):  A young woman tracks down the man who preyed on her 15 years before, forcing both to confront her damage suffered from an incident; with Rooney Mara and Ben Mendelsohn.

Unakkenna Venum Sollu (2015):  A couple encounters a paranormal presence based on a past decision when they travel to Chennai to treat their ill son; with Deepak Paramesh.

Zachariayude Garbhinikal (2013):  Gynecologist dealing with four unconventional patients receives a visit from a young woman with a surprising gift; with Lal and Geetha.

Anthony Joshua: The Road to Klitschko (2017):  This sports documentary goes behind the scenes as the rising British boxer gets ready to square off against the former boxing champion.

Maria Sharapova: The Point (2017):  Intimate documentary has the former number one tennis player in the world open up about her suspension for a failed drug test and her comeback.

Swim Team (2017):  Three teens on a New Jersey swim team composed of people on the autism spectrum deal with life in and out of the pool in this fairly good documentary.

April 3:

Fary is the New Black (2018):  Fary, a French comedy star, riffs on dating, stereotypes, and more in a special with his style, wit, and fresh outlook on life.

Honey: Rise Up and Dance (2018):  Talented street dancer shakes her hair off at disapproving family and tries to join an exclusive dance crew in order to get a scholarship; with Teyana Taylor.

Ittefaq (2017):  A homemaker and writer witness a murder and become prime suspects in a case that requires a detective to sort things out; with Sidharth Malhotra.

Yaara O Dildaara (2011):  Father of a wealthy family with one hard working son and one playboy stirs things up when he arranges the marriage of one son with the other's girlfriend; with Harbhajan Mann.

April 4:

Ali Baba vs 7 Cuceler (2015):  Garden gnome salesman and his brother in law attend a Sofia trade fair where they get mixed up with a mob boss; with Cern Yilmaz.

Ask Tesadufleri Sever (2011):  Two star-crossed lovers are brought together by a series of circumstances, but it's not until Istanbul when they meet again; with Mehmet Gunsur.

Bir Baba Hindu (2016):  Istanbul mobster falls for Indian yoga instructor and heads to Mumbai on a wild rescue mission when she ends up kidnapped; with Semiyan Midyat.

Eksi Elmalar (2016):  Suitors at an eastern Turkish town knock on the mayor's door, but his three daughters have different ideas of who they want; with Yilmaz Erdogan.

Gorumce (2016):  Young man does what he can to protect his fiancee from the evil schemes of his jealous sister; with Eda Ece.

Behind the Curtain: Todrick Hall (2017):  Singer and Youtube sensation Hall launches an original musical based loosely on his life in this documentary.

Day of the Dead: Bloodline (2018):  It's a former medical student versus an evil zombie/human hybrid determined to destroy her; with Sophie Skelton.

Despicable Me 3 (2017):  Mixed news for Gru: he loses his job when he fails to capture a 1980s child star turned villain, but he gains a new family member; with voices of Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig.

Istanbul Kirmizisi (2017):  London based Orhan agrees to help a famous director by editing his book and gets drawn into his complex family life; with Halit Ergenc.

Swades: We the People (2004):  A bright young scientist looks for his nanny in a developed section of India; with Shah Rukh Khan.

April 6:

The 4th Company (2016):  A young inmate in a violent 1970s prison lands a spot in a soccer team that doubles as enforcers for a corrupt administration; with Adrian Ladron.

6 Balloons (2018):  The loyal sister of a heroin addict tries to keep her spirits up while driving him to a detox center and looking after his young daughter; with Abbi Jacobson and Dave Franco.

Amateur (2018):  A young basketball phenom faces corruption and greed in amateur sports after being recruited by an elite prep school; with Michael Rainey Jr. and Josh Charles.

Narco Cultura (2013):  Documentary that examines the cycle of addiction and the unexpected dark side to the war on drugs.

Orbiter 9 (2017):  Woman who spent her entire life on a spaceship becomes enamored with an engineer who enters her life and changes her world; with Clara Lago.

Ram Dass, Going Home (2018):  Researcher, author, and spiritual teacher Dass reflects on life, love, and mortality from his Hawaiian home in this documentary short.

Seth Rogen's Hilarity for Charity (2018):  Stand-up, sketches, and music are blended in this outrageous comedy special to raise money to fight ALS; with Rogen and Michael Che.

Sun Dogs (2017):  A simple minded man eager to serve his country after 9/11 conducts amateur terrorist surveilance with a young runaway; with Michael Angarano.

Todo lo que seria Lucas Lauriente (2018):  The Argentinian comic shares his observations on different generations and urges young people to quit talking about goals in this special.

April 7:

24 Hours to Live (2017):  A hitman is given 24 more hours to live thanks to an experimental procedure and he decides to seek vengeance and redemption; with Ethan Hawke.

April 8:

American Heist (2014):  An ex-con's attempts to go straight go by the wayside when his older brother convinces him to the underworld for one final heist; with Hayden Christensen and Adrien Brody.

April 9:

The Tiger Hunter (2016):  Engineer Sami finds his trip from India to Chicago less than conducive for him achieving the American Dream; with Danny Pudi and Jon Heder.

April 10:

Greg Davies: You Magnificent Beast (2018):  Stand up special from the British comic focuses on bad dates, manscaping issues, and his father's pranks.

April 12:

Pahell (2005):  Traditional Indian folklore comes alive in this charming film; with Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000):  Two competitive journalists working for rival TV stations try hard to mask their true feelings for each other; with Shah Rukh Khan.

Pickpockets (2016):  Aspiring teen thieves learn the secrets of the trade from a master of trickery and deception on the streets of Bogota; with Carlos Bardem.

April 13:

Come Sunday (2018):  A renowned fundamentalist preacher has a crisis of faith which leads to a new, dangerous spiritual path; with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Martin Sheen.

I Am Not an Easy Man (2017):  A shameless chauvinist locks horns with a powerful female author in a world where women dominate; with Vincent Elbaz.

Nowhere Boy (2009):  A custody battle begins between the aunt who raised John and the mother who reappears in his life.  Meanwhile, John starts to reveal his musical gifts; with Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Beyond Skyline (2017):  Suspended LA cop assists survivors of an alien invasion to rescue hostages and stop the onslaught; with Frank Grillo.

Eddie Murphy: Delirious (1983):  Uncensored observations and parodies highlight the first stand up special from SNL graduate Murphy.

Lakeview Terrace (2008):  Off-kilter cop tries to make life hell for his new neighbors, an interracial couple; with Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson.

Numero Zero: The Roots of Italian Rap (2015):  The influence of 1990s hip hop music on the culture of Italy is the focus of this documentary.

Seven Pounds (2008):  An IRS agent hiding a secret befriends seven strangers with something in common; with Will Smith and Rosario Dawson.

April 16:

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant (2009):  Darren Shan takes a life changing trip to the circus to view sideshow oddities; with John C. Reilly and Josh Hutcherson.

Porto (2016):  Coastal Portuguese city is the home for a life changing erotic encounter between an American expat and a French student; with Anton Yelchin (RIP).

The Honeymoon Stand Up Special Collection (2018):  A trio of stand up specials from Natasha Leggero and Moshe Kasher who deal with family, relationships, and more.

April 18:

Friend Request (2017):  De-friending someone leads to death and destruction as a popular college student learns the hard way; with Alycia Debnam-Carey.

Henry Poole is Here (2008):  A terminally ill man is driven from his exile thanks to a small miracle and a clash with his eccentric neighbors; with Luke Wilson and Radha Mitchell.

Pele (2016):  A Brazilian boy overcomes poverty to show flashes of unmatched soccer skills; with Leonardo Lima Carvalho.

April 19:

All the Reasons to Forget (2017):  A Brazilian man tries multiple ways to get over a breakup with his ex-girlfriend, but his memory of her is slow to fade; with Johnny Massaro.

Chasing the Dragon (2017):  A mainland Chinese immigrant along with a crooked cop rises to the top of Hong Kong's drug underworld; with Donnie Yen.

April 20:

Dude (2018):  During the last two weeks of high school, four best friends bond over losses, life changes, and weed.  Happy 4/20; with Lucy Hale.

Kodachrome (2018):  Record company executive joins estranged dad on a road trip to the final lab processing Kodachrome film; with Jason Sudekis and Ed Harris.

Mercury 13 (2018):  Documentary focuses on 13 women who survived rigorous testing as skilled pilots only to be passed over in 1961 in favor of males when it came to flying in space.

April 24:

Face/Off (1997):  The effort of an antiterrorism agent to win the confidence of an imprisoned brother backfires when the terrorist goes under the knife; with Nicolas Cage and John Travolta.

Kevin James: Never Don't Give Up (2018):  Fatherhood, fans, and allergies are among the topics as the veteran TV actor and comedian gets back to stage in a family friendly special.

The Magic Pill (2017):  The study of a controversial diet to eliminate sickness and the use of fat as fuel are the focuses of this documentary.

Main Hoon Na (2004):  An army major goes undercover as a college student to protect his general's daughter from a militant and find his half-brother; with Shah Rukh Khan.

April 25:

Bill Nye: Science Guy (2017):  The host behind a beloved science show for kids (and a Netflix one) steps away from the lab to take on science skeptics in this documentary.

Fishtronaut: The Movie (2018):  Fishtronaut takes his friends with him to the big city in search of his grandpa, but finds himself involved in a mystery; with voice of Fabio Lucindo.

Psychokinesis (2018):  A father who has acquired supernatural powers tries to help out his estranged daughter who's in danger of losing everything; with Ryu Seung-ryong.

A Question of Faith (2017):  Three families find their lives colliding after a tragic accident and learn about the strong and redeeming power of faith; with Richard T. Jones.

Kickboxer: Retaliation (2018):  Kurt's vow to never come back to Thailand is spoiled when he's drugged and sent to a Thai prison to fight against a big opponent; with Alain Moussi and Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Candy Jar (2018):  Debate champions who are polar opposites on just about everything plan to get into their dream colleges; with Christina Hendricks and Helen Hunt.

Holy Goalie (2017):  Young priest tries to turn a team of uncoordinated monks into a soccer team in hopes of winning the grand prize in a soccer tournament; with Karra Elejalde.

The Man Who Knew Infinity (2015):  An Indian math prodigy deals with academia and racism with the help of a don in Cambridge; with Dev Patel and Jeremy Irons.

The Rachel Divide (2018):  The documentary focuses on the rise and fall of Rachel Dolezal from a high position in the NAACP when issues of racial identity started to pop up.

The Week Of (2018):  Two fathers with different backgrounds and views of their children's upcoming wedding spend a crazy week trying to keep it together; with Adam Sandler and Chris Rock.

Billu (2009):  A small town barber's white lie that he was once friends with a Bollywood superstar grows out of control when the actor ends up in town for a film; with Irrfan Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.

April 30:

Babam ve Oglum (2005):  A widowed reporter returns to his hometown following a bloody Turkish coup in 1980 bringing his son and a final wish; with Cetin Tekindor.

  11. For 3/28, the official Netflix list is showing Little Women, Season 1. Instead of the film, they may be streaming either the 1970 or the 1978 miniseries. There is also a miniseries that will be aired on PBS in the next month or so but I doubt Netflix would be streaming that series before it airs.
