Coming to Netflix Instant June 2017

A tentative list of film and TV titles coming to Netflix Instant Streaming sometime in June 2017.  Will update when I have the original list, plus any other sources:

MOVIES:

June 1:

1 Night (2016):  Over the course of one night in a hotel, a couple in their teens reconnect despite social differences while a couple in their 30s debates their future; with Isabelle Fuhrman and Justin Chatwin.

13 Going on 30 (2004):  During a geeky teen's disastrous birthday party, she wishes that she were 30.  She wakes up to discover her wish has come true; with Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo.

Aashik Awara (1993):  An orphan is raised by a kindly thief and falls in love with a woman whose father might be indirectly responsible for his parents dying; with Saif Ali Khan.

The Ant Bully (2006):  Tired of being bullied, 10 year old Lucas takes it out on an anthill before he's shrunk into the size of a bug himself; with voices of Julia Roberts and Nicolas Cage.

Betting on Zero (2017):  This documentary examines the complex world of Herbalife whose critics charge is nothing more than a giant pyramid scheme.

The Bucket List (2007):  Two terminally ill men with nothing in common other than their hospital room decide to bust out and experience life to the fullest before passing on.  Decent, but slight; with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.

Burlesque: Heart of the Glitter Tribe (2017):  Revealing documentary delves into the onstage and offstage lives of burlesque performers in Portland, Oregon as they practice their craft.

Catfight (2016):  Two college frenemies reunite decades later and their resentments toward each other goes from verbal jabs to physical ones; with Anne Heche and Sandra Oh.

Catwoman (2004):  After discovering a conspiracy involving a cosmetics corporation, a secretary gets iced but becomes revived with feline powers and seeks revenge.  Dumb fun; with Halle Berry and Sharon Stone.

Chingo Bling: They Can't Deport Us All (2017):  Rapper and stand-up comic Bling gathers his funniest friends for a humorous take on Tex-Mex culture.

Chronic (2015):  Hospice care nurse whose devotion to his patients hides depression and a secret in his life is forced to confront his past; with Tim Roth.

Contract to Kill (2016):  Federal enforcer is tasked with taking down two threats when terrorists use Mexican drug smuggling routes to plan an attack on America; with Steven Seagal.

Devil's Bride (2016):  In 1666, a teen girl in love with a married fisherman on a small Finnish island becomes the focus of a witch hunt and power struggle; with Tuulia Eloranta and Magnus Krepper.

Full Metal Jacket (1987):  Marine undergoes intensive basic training and finds himself thrown into the Tet Offensive against the brutal Viet Cong in this Kubrick film; with Matthew Modine.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000):  Burned by past moments with its citizens, the Grinch decides to steal Christmas from Whoville even as a young resident starts to melt his heart.  OK, but no holiday perennial; with Jim Carrey.

Lens (2015):  A married man who finds himself addicted to voyeurism and webcams struggles to deal with an online stranger who tries to force him to watch a suicide; with Misha Ghoshal.

Little Boxes (2016):  An interracial couple and their preteen son struggle to adjust after moving to a small Washington town from New York City; with Melanie Lynskey.

Love.com (2017):  A fashion blogger falls for a video game vlogger and their romance goes viral, but separating reality from virtual life proves complex; with Isis Valverde.

Man Vs. (2015):  Reality TV survivalist sets out to film five days alone in the wilderness, but suspects that something may be stalking him.  Oh really; with Chris Diamantopoulos.

Maya Memsaab (1992):  Wealthy woman finds that extramarital affairs cannot make her happy.  Cops get called to the scene of a mysterious crime; with Deepa Sahi.

My Left Foot (1989):  Bawdy Irish man Christy Brown won't let cerebral palsy stop him from becoming an inspiring, infuriating author; with Daniel Day-Lewis and Brenda Fricker.

Oh Darling Yeh Hai India (1995):  New to Mumbai, a penniless actor and a beautiful woman he's just met try to stop a gangster from replacing India's president with a twin; with Shah Rukh Khan.

Playing It Cool (2014):  Cynical screenwriter hired to write a rom-com finds inspiration in a beautiful, but unavailable woman; with Chris Pine and Michelle Monaghan.

Prince (1969):  To better himself, a spoiled prince assumes the identity of a commoner.  But he learns that his palace has been gifted to his father's new wife.  Oops; with Shammi Kapoor.

Qila (1998):  The twin brother of an abusive landowner sets to find out who wanted him dead, but finds too many suspects; with Dilip Kumar.

The Queen (2006):  Queen Elizabeth 2 and Tony Blair face demands that the recently deceased Princess Diana needs to be memorialized in a manner beyond standard protocol; with Helen Mirren and James Cromwell.

Return to Zero (2014):  A married couple struggles to keep their marriage together after their first child had died in the womb just weeks before delivery; with Minnie Driver and Paul Adelstein.

Rounders (1998):  Law student tries to help his friend, a gambling addict, and learns he has to raise $15 grand in just five days.  All in; with Matt Damon and Edward Norton.

The Sixth Sense (1999):  A disgraced child psychologist desperately tries to help a 9 year old boy who can see dead people.  Quite good; with Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment.

Smoke and Mirrors (2016):  Former Spanish secret agent who's been betrayed by his own government plans to steal millions embezzled by a corrupt public official; with Eduard Fernandez.

Spring (2016):  Eleven year old boy comes of age among a community of artists and actors who influence his ideas of what a family looks like; with Catarina Spinetta.

Supermodel (2016):  Young Brooklyn native takes the modeling world by storm but learns that it's not all glitz and glamour.  Duh; with Fat Joe and Cassandra Freeman.

Vice (2015):  In a futuristic resort where patrons can use humanoid androids to fulfill their wildest fantasies, things start going wrong.  Nobody's heard of Westworld; with Bruce Willis and Thomas Jane.

Without Gorky (2011):  Filmmaker trains her camera on her family as she examines the impact that her troubled artist grandfather Arshile Gorky had on three generations in this documentary.

Yarn (2016):  This documentary explores how various artists are finding inspiration in yarn and the stories behind their creations.  Combine it with SlowTV for a decent night.

Young Frankenstein (1974):  Frederick is appalled by his family's notorious history, but he can't resist performing some experiments himself.  Hilarious; with Gene Wilder and Peter Boyle.

Zodiac (2007):  Chilling drama of a serial killer stalking the streets of San Francisco leaving clues in the newspaper and those trying to find him; with Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo.

June 2:

Los Ultimos de Filipinas (aka 1898: Our Last Men in the Philippines) (2016):  A battle fatigued outpost serves as the battleground between weary Spanish soldiers and Filipino insurgents; with Luis Tosar.

Lucid Dream (2017):  Devastated father tries lucid dreams to track down his abducted son three years after his disappearance; with Ko Soo.

Saving Banksy (2017):  The documentary focuses on the conflicting philosophies of street art and profiteering by exploring unauthorized sellers of Banksy's graffiti work.

June 3:

Acapulco La Vida Va (2016):  Three lifelong friends travel to Acapulco supposedly so one can find his lost love, but the real reason offers some surprises; with Patricio Castillo.

Blue Gold: American Jeans (2014):  This documentary has vintage jeans enthusiast Eric Schrader travel the world in search of rare denim while the impact on fashion and culture is explored; with Ed Burns.

Headshot (2016):  A young man wakes from a coma and finds himself remembering moments of brutal violence which places his life and his doctor's life in danger; with Iko Uwais.

Three (2016):  Master criminal engineers his own shooting at a police raid and refuses treatment at a hospital while awaiting his gang to rescue him during a tense standoff; with Louis Koo.

Tunnel (2016):  When a poorly constructed tunnel collapses, a man is trapped in his car with only two bottles of water and his daughter's birthday cake to keep him alive; with Doona Bae.

War on Everyone (2016):  Two corrupt cops are adept at blackmailing small time crooks, but when they seek a big score, they learn not all criminals are easily intimidated; with Alexander Skarsgard and Michael Pena.

June 4:

Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2005):  Inner city drug dealer decides to make his way out of his criminal past through rap music, but his plans run into tough times; with Viola Davis.

Jackass: The Movie (2002):  Johnny Knoxville brings out his crew from the MTV show to throw out killer stunts and pranks for their first film together; with Bam Margera.

Mean Girls (2004):  As part of a task by her friends, newcomer Cady agrees to infiltrate the mean girls clique but she loses sight of who she is; with Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, and Tina Fey.

June 5:

Jules and Delores (2016):  The strange story behind the 1983 theft of the World Cup trophy from Brazil's soccer headquarters is the focus of this film; with Paulo Tiefenthaler.

Jurassic School (2017):  When his science project, a cloned dino egg, hatches, Tommy befriends the baby reptile until it runs off and he must find it; with voice of Gabriel Bennett.

Suite Francaise (2014):  While waiting on news involving her prisoner of war husband, a French woman in Nazi occupied France reluctantly falls for a German officer quartered in her home; with Michelle Williams.

The Wishing Tree (2017):  Five kids living on the edge of a forest band together to save a magical wishing tree from destruction; with Makrand Deshpande.

June 6:

The Axe Murderers of Villisca (2016):  Three ghost hunting teens have no idea what they're in for when they break into a historic home which was the site of a massacre a century before; with Robert Adamson.

Gabriel Iglesias Presents Rick Gutierrez: I'm Not Mad, I'm Just a Parent (2017):  Fluffy presents Gutierrez whose stand up recalls parenting issues including adventures in an amusement park and bathroom.

June 7:

Disturbing the Peace (2016):  Documentary showcases the efforts of former Israeli and Palestinian soldiers who advocate for peace through nonviolent action.

Trolls (2016):  It's up to upbeat Princess Polly and grouchy friend Branch to rescue their fellow trolls from the hungry Bergens; with the voices of Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake.

June 8:

Hypersomnia (2016):  A young actress rehearsing for a play on human trafficking starts to relive terrifying scenes that might either be bad dreams or an alternative reality; with Jimena Baron.

Strayed (aka Perdidos) (2014):  Four aspiring filmmakers enter a decrepit old building in Mexico City to shoot a documentary where strange things start to happen; with Carlos Moreno Craviotto.

June 9:

Days of Grace (2011):  Three tales of violence and survival in Mexico City that take place during three consecutive World Cups; with Kristian Ferrer.

The Firefly (2013):  After her estranged brother's sudden death, a young wife bonds with his fiancee through their shared grief and things take a turn from there; with Caroline Guerra.

Shimmer Lake (2017):  Going in reverse order, this darkly comic crime thriller has a sheriff hunting three bank robbery suspects, including one close to home; with Rainn Wilson and Benjamin Walker.

June 10:

Black Snow (2017):  When a man returns to Patagonia to convince his estranged brother to sell the family's isolated property, animosity and tension from a previous incident erupt; with Ricardo Darin.

Daughters of the Dust (1991):  In this first film to be directed by an African American female, a family leaves their coastal island home on Gullah Island to start a new life on the American mainland; with Kaycee Moore.

Havenhurst (2016):  Alcoholic with a troubled past rents an apartment in a building for those in recovery, but learns an unsettling truth about its owners; with Julie Benz.

Sword Master (2016):  A master swordsman masks his identity to deal with his past and work anonymously as a brothel janitor, unleashing a violent chain of events in the process; with Peter Ho.

June 13:

Dragonheart: Battle for the Heartfire (2017):  When the king of Brittania dies, the dragon who shares his heart must find a new ruler, but the grandchildren go to war over the kingdom; with voice of Patrick Stewart.

Oh Hello on Broadway (2017):  In this filming of the colorful Broadway show, two delusional geriatrics deal with their pasts, tuna, and a surprise guest; with Nick Kroll and John Mulaney.

Suntan (2016):  Lonely middle-aged doctor falls in love on a small Greek isle with a nubile summer vacationer half his age; with Makis Papadimitriou.

June 14:

American Violence (2017):  A routine session between a renowned psychologist and a death row inmate quickly turns into a harrowing glimpse into a killer's life; with Bruce Dern and Denise Richards.

Barking Dogs Never Bite (2000):  A college lecturer goes to great lengths to silence a dog yapping endlessly in a nearby apartment; with Doona Bae.

Mother (2009):  When a murder rocks a quiet South Korean town, suspicion falls on a reclusive, mentally challenged man who doesn't have an alibi; with Hye-ja Kim.

June 15:

Cave (2016):  Three ex soldiers deal with camaraderie and tension when exploring a deadly cave but find themselves in danger; with Heidi Toini.

Kanavu Variyam (2017):  Ambitious dropout commits himself to solving a persistent local electricity crisis despite doubts from fellow villagers; with Jiya Anil Manne.

Marco Luque: Tamo Junto (2017):  Eclectic character comedian plays himself in this stand up special dealing with relationships, regional differences, and his love of movies.

Mr. Gaga: A True Story of Love and Dance (2015):  Documentary explores the life and career of notable choreographer Ohad Naharin in this film that blends footage with insights.

The Russian Revolution (2017):  This documentary explores how the personal battle between the royal Romanovs and the Ulyanov family with Lenin led to the Russian Revolution.

S is for Stanley (2016):  The complex life of director Stanley Kubrick is explored with the help of his longtime driver Emilio D'Alessandro in this documentary.

The Son of Joseph (2016):  After learning of his father's identity, a resourceful, angry teen plots revenge that takes him to interesting places; with Victor Ezenfis.

June 16:

3 Days in Havana (2013):  American insurance salesman befriends a shady writer during a trip to Havana and finds himself embroiled in a murder conspiracy; with Gil Bellows.

Ab Tak Chhappan 2 (2015):  Retired policeman returns to work to fight a crime wave that left him without a wife and his son without a mother; with Nana Patekar.

Apartment: Rent at Your Own Risk (2010):  Woman with trust issues thinks her unassuming new roommate might be a perfect fit.  She's wrong; with Rohit Roy.

Counterpunch (2017):  Boxing documentary explores how three fighters at various stages of their careers sacrifice to become champions even as the sport wanes.

Deewaar (2004):  Son of an Indian soldier kidnapped years before by the Pakistani army takes a rescue mission behind enemy lines to save his father; with Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt.

Dus (2005):  Anti-terrorism agents learn that an Indian national is planning an attack to coincide with the Indian prime minister's visit to Canada and get to work in saving lives; with Sanjay Dutt.

Gold (2014):  After disappearing for 10 years, a man reaches out to his ex-wife and daughter only to learn that both are now living with his domineering former PE teacher; with James Nesbitt.

Golmaal Returns (2008):  A man's relationship with his jealous wife hits choppy waters after he's forced to spend a night on a yacht with a woman he rescued from gangsters; with Ajay Devgn.

Kanavu Variyam (2017):  Ambitious dropout commits himself fully to solving a persistent local electricity crisis even as fellow villagers express their skepticism; with Jiya Anil Manne.

Khakee (2004):  Veteran policeman who is preparing for his daughter's wedding reluctantly places personal matters aside to transport a Pakistani secret agent to trial; with Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Khuda Gawah (1992):  Afghan warrior who's fallen for a woman from a neighboring clan prepares to tackle a dangerous mission for her sake; with Amitabh Bachchan.

Kidnap (2008):  When a mysterious stranger kidnaps his estranged daughter, a tycoon is forced to participate in a dangerous scavenger hunt; with Sanjay Dutt and Imran Khan.

Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum (2012):  Aspiring actor and struggling DJ combine forces to woo the ladies they love while searching for a diamond that belongs to their dog; with Tusshar Kapoor.

The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002):  Biopic of the life and times of Indian revolutionary Bhagat Singh, who led an armed resistance against the British in the 1920s; with Ajay Devgn.

Life Partner (2009):  Cynical divorce attorney, a couple in an arranged marriage, and a couple united in romantic love deal with various relationship issues; with Govinda.

Luck (2009):  Ruthless gambler recruits "lucky" people to participate in a Survivor style reality show where the losers pay with their lives.  The tribe has spoken; with Sanjay Dutt.

Main Aur Mr. Riight (2014):  Single casting director hires an aspiring actor to pretend to be her rich new boyfriend from London, not suspecting how that will change her life; with Barun Sobti.

Manorama Six Feet Under (2007):  The wife of a politician asks a government employee and aspiring crime writer to spy on her husband even as he's dealing with corruption charges; with Abhay Deol.

Mere Baap Pehle Aap (2008):  A caring son who works tirelessly to reunite his widowed father with an old flame comes across someone from his own past; with Akshaye Khanna and Om Puri.

Mr. Joe B. Carvalho (2014):  An inept detective has to track down the runaway daughter of a wealthy family while thwarting suspicions that he's really an assassin; with Arshad Warsi.

The Real Miyagi (2015):  The life and legacy of karate master Furio Demura explores how he spread the discipline in the West, winning over countless devotees and influencing Hollywood.

Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga (2013):  Middle class Indian man concocts a plan to thwart out of control inflation that garners the attention of a suspicious inspector; with Sanjay Mishra.

Soldier (1998):  A mysterious man on the run from Indian police escapes to Australia where he finds love with the daughter of an Indian criminal residing there; with Rakhee Gulzar.

What the Health (2017):  This documentary uses interviews with various experts to illustrate the dangers of the modern industrialized diet.

June 17:

The Stanford Prison Experiment (2015):  Stanford professor Philip Zimbardo conducts a study on the psychology of incarceration by having 24 volunteer students split up into guards and prisoners.  Things go wrong; with Billy Crudup and Michael Angarano.

June 19:

The Incident (2014):  Two criminals race down a stairwell, chased by a cop.  A bickering family begins a road trip that's soon to be more crowded than they were expecting; with Raul Mendez.

June 20:

Amar Akbar and Tony (2015):  Brotherly bond between three childhood friends of different faiths is tested by the comic absurdities of adulthood; with Rez Kempton and Martin Delaney.

Moana (2016):  Polynesian girl destined to be her island's chief takes a perilous trip to convince a demi-god to help her place a missing heart stone back where it belongs in the sea.  Not top Disney, but good movie; with voices of Auli'l Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson.

Rory Scovel Tries Stand-Up for the First Time (2017):  The comedian storms the stage in Atlanta where he deals with mystifying things, relationships, and the Thong Song.

June 21:

Dangal (2016):  Once promising wrestler trains two of his daughters at the Commonwealth Games to win the gold medal he never did at his peak; with Aamir Khan.

Don't Call Me Son (2016):  Teen exploring his sexuality is floored to learn that his mother kidnapped him from his biological parents; with Naomi Nero and Daniel Botelho.

June 22:

Bokeh (2017):  A young American couple vacationing in Iceland deal with the news that they may be the only survivors of an eerie apocalypse; with Maika Monroe and Matt O'Leary.

Mughal-E-Azam (1960):  Bollywood film where a prince falls for a dancing girl despite the objections of his father and courtly gossip; with Dilip Kumar.

XX (2017):  Four part anthology of short horror films that are filmed with a female point of view even as it deals with some traditional themes; with Natalie Brown and Melanie Lynskey.

June 23:

American Anarchist (2016):  The documentary explores the life of William Powell, who wrote The Anarchist Cookbook in 1971 at the age of 19 and his thoughts on how it's being used today.

Nobody Speak: Trials of the Free Press (2017):  In this Netflix original documentary, the Hulk Hogan case against Gawker is explored as well as its ramifications for freedom of the press.

You Get Me (2017):  Another Netflix original film, this thriller has Holly who has let a one night stand with Tyler turn into a Fatal Attraction; with Bella Thorne and Nash Grier.

June 24:

Bruno and Boots: Go Jump in the Pool (2016):  Prankster Bruno will do anything to keep best friend Boots from transferring to a rival school, including build a pool; with Jonny Gray and Callan Potter.

Bruno and Boots: This Can't Be Happening at Macdonald Hall (2017):  Bruno and Boots get caught causing trouble and face being separated into separate dorms; with Jonny Gray and Callan Potter.

June 25:

Kaabil (2017):  The tranquil life of a young blind couple is shattered when the wife is raped and the husband has to turn vigilante when corrupt cops won't help them; with Hrithik Roshan.

June 26:

Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan (2012):  Evil demon who traded freedom for immortality lures Bheem and his friends to Sonapur with tales of hidden treasure; with voice of Rajesh Kava.

I Am Michael (2015):  Gay activist Michael Glatze undergoes a painful journey when he renounces his sexuality for his religion in this drama based on a true story; with James Franco and Zachary Quinto.

Junction 48 (2016):  Palestinian hip hop artist and his girlfriend pursue their musical dream within the politically charged city of Tel Aviv; with Tamer Nafar and Samar Qupty.

Neruda (2016):  Chilean policeman vows to find and capture leftist poet Pablo Neruda which leads to a tense cat and mouse game; with Luis Gnecco and Gael Garcia Bernal.

No Escape (2015):  American family who recently relocated to Southeast Asia ends up in the middle of a violent coup that threatens their lives; with Owen Wilson and Lake Bell.

June 27:

Chris D'Elia: Man on Fire (2017):  The unbridled comic best known for Undateable reconsiders his approach to marriage, not having kids, and buying pants for friends in this special.

June 28:

Country Crush (2016):  City girl falls for a country boy who follows her to New York City, but she has to choose between the romance and a music career.  Said no one ever; with Jana Kramer.

Okja (2017):  From Bong Joon Ho (Snowpiercer) comes this tale of a girl and a gentle giant pig who draws the interest of both a corporation and an animal activist; with Tilda Swinton and Paul Dano.

June 30:

Footprints: The Path of Your Life (2015):  Documentary follows 10 people who agree to walk the Camino de Santiago, a 500 mile, 40 day journey.

The House on Coco Road (2016):  Doucmentary focuses on Oakland activist Fannie Haughton who fled to Grenada with her family just before the 1983 American invasion.

It's Only the End of the World (2016):  From the mind of Xavier Dolan, a gay man returns home after 12 years to reveal the news that he's dying but his dysfunctional family is more interested in arguing; with Vincent Cassel and Marion Cotillard.

The Weekend (2016):  Three London friends come across a box of dirty money and go on a spending spree until a gangster tries to end the party early; with Joivan Wade.

June 1:

The 100 Season 4 (2016):  The 100 must find a way to stop abandoned nuclear reactors from emitting radiation which would poison those living on Earth; with Eliza Taylor.

40 Year Old Virgins (2013):  Two adult virgins take their first steps towards intercourse with intense sex therapy in this documentary show.

Amelia: A Tale of Two Sisters (2017):  The incredible accomplishments of Amelia Earhart are celebrated eight decades after her disappearance thanks to the efforts of her sister Muriel as seen in this show.

Arrow Season 5 (2016):  An overextended Oliver Queen, who's serving as both mayor and protector of Star City, gets a rookie team of vigilantes together to stop the rise of a gangster; with Stephen Amell.

The Day Will Come Season 1 (2016):  Two Danish brothers wind up in an orphanage where the cruel headmaster slowly provokes the kids to fight back; with Sofie Grabol.

Disaster Earth Season 1 (2011):  Using real footage and graphical representations, this series explores the Earth's center where likely natural disasters loom.

The Dream Job Season 1 (2016):  Mysterious, wealthy man offers three strangers a lucrative, unusual job: live it up as his children and heirs; with Hugo Ng.

El Escape de Hitler (2011):  This televised documentary explores recent DNA and ballistic evidence about the death and final resting place of Adolf Hitler.

Fear Files Season 1 (2015):  This horror series focuses on psychologically disturbing tales of encounters, hauntings, and entities without delving into blood and gore.

The Girl Whose Muscles are Turning into Bone (2005):  The courageous struggle of a 7 year old girl with a rare titular condition is the focus of this TV show.

The Golden Years with Javed Akhtar Season 1 (2016):  Writer, poet, and lyricist Akhtar goes down India's memory lane as the untold stories behind India's top tunes from 1950-75 are revealed here.

How to Stage a Coup (2017):  Explore how dictators past and present used bold, brazen coups to consolidate their considerable power in this program.

Intersection Season 2 (2016):  For a pediatrician, her husband, and her lover, the past proves to be haunted but second chances and new schemes prove to open up unexpected places; with Rojda Demirer.

Jackie: A Tale of Two Sisters (2017):  A multi-faceted portrait of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and her little sister Lee Radziwill is the focus of the program.
